About the Film
May All Be Wed is a vérité-style documentary that follows my personal journey as a Broadway actor and former Catholic music teacher who was fired from a New York parish after marrying my husband. Although same-sex marriage is protected by law in New York, the Church invoked a narrow legal exemption to justify the dismissal.

What unfolds is an intimate portrait of love, loss, and the resilience of community. Captured with raw honesty, the film documents not only my fight to reclaim my voice, but the powerful support of students, parents, friends, and chosen family who stood beside me when it mattered most.

A Note About This Version
This is an unlisted preview of the film’s final screening version, originally presented in Fall 2022 as part of director Xinyu “Tina” Xu’s MFA thesis at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. While not the final edit, this cut includes many of the core elements featured in that public screening.

At present, I’ve been unable to reconnect with Tina to obtain a completed version. The preview is shared here with gratitude for her work, and for archival and personal reference.
